By Mrs Sira (Chair of The Association)
I am delighted to share that our Christmas Fayre on Saturday 6th December was a great success. It was wonderful to see our school community come together and enjoy a day of festive activities. The event was made possible through the dedication of many members of our community.
My thanks go to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to support the Fayre. Special thanks to our Vice Chair, Mrs McGuinness, for organising our stallholders and ensuring a varied marketplace for everyone to enjoy. Warm thanks also to Mrs Macey White for her festive decorations, Mr Sira for his logistical and first aid support, and Mrs Bayly for providing mulled wine.
We are also grateful to our BGS staff. Mrs Embleton-Spencer (Junior School Heads Assistant) provided thoughtful planning and behind-the-scenes coordination, helping the day run smoothly. Mr Gracie (Deputy Head - Student Engagement and Welfare), joined in with the children’s snowball activities, bringing smiles to many faces.
Thank you as well to the Premises Assistants, Mr Toner who took on the role of Santa and Miss Gudmonaite who was one of the elves. Their involvement made the experience special for our children and families. The Christmas Ponies were a particular highlight, and the Girls’ Room was full of creativity and activity throughout the day.
To every parent, member of staff, student, and volunteer who contributed to the event, whether by donating, helping, or attending, thank you. Your support helped create a joyful celebration and raise funds for our school community.
As we approach the end of term, I wish you and your families a happy Christmas and a restful New Year.
If you would like to be involved in future Association events, we would be delighted to hear from you at [email protected]
