We are delighted to share that six of our students, Zara Moore, Poppy Clarke, Megan Robertson in the Lower Sixth and Alice Lawson, Rosie Freear and Danae Karavaggelis in the Upper Sixth recently took part in the very first Mathematical Competition for Girls, organised by the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT).
This new competition is designed to celebrate mathematical achievement and encourage girls to explore their problem-solving skills in a national setting. The event brought together students from across the UK to tackle a series of challenging problems that tested creativity, reasoning and logic.
All six students approached the challenge with enthusiasm and determination, tackling some truly thought-provoking questions. We are especially proud to announce that Danae Karavaggelis and Poppy Clarke achieved Distinction for their outstanding performances.
Congratulations to all the participants for their hard work and for representing the school so brilliantly in this exciting inaugural event!
