On Thursday 18th September, our Year 11 and Upper Sixth Textile Design students had the exciting opportunity to visit the world-renowned Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London. The trip was organised as part of their coursework, with a focus on researching and gathering inspiration for their independent design projects.
The V&A Museum, known for its vast and diverse collections of art, fashion, textiles, and design, offered students a rich and stimulating environment in which to explore their ideas. From historical artefacts to contemporary design, the exhibits provided a wealth of visual research opportunities.
Back in the classroom, students will begin to develop their concepts further, using the research collected at the museum to inform their design processes.
Students were fully immersed in the work on display, and engaged with enthusiasm throughout the visit, and we look forward to seeing how this experience influences their work over the coming months.
