Dame Alice Harpur School 1981 Reunion

On Saturday 8th November 2025, 2.00pm, we would like to invite everyone from the year group to a reunion (including those that left before Sixth Form and former teachers). Alumnae Speaker Series - Alice McIlroy

On Wednesday 19th November 2025, 7.00pm, We are looking forward to welcoming another inspiring member of our alumnae community, Alice McIlroy (previously Coubrough, DAHS 2006), into BGS later in the Autumn term as part of our Alumnae Speaker Series.

Alice recently released her debut novel, The Glass Woman, a psychological thriller and cautionary tale about a female scientist who trials a pioneering AI brain implant. It explores themes of autonomy, memory and identity. The novel has been well received and has been reviewed in The Guardian, New Scientist and Irish Times.  Alice will be joining us on the evening of Wednesday 19th November 2025 at 7.00pm, to talk about her book and journey into writing. There will also be an opportunity to buy a copy of Alice’s book on the night.
