By Miss Coote (Year 6 Teacher)

As part of our transdisciplinary theme Who We Are, Year 6 embarked on a fascinating exploration of the concept of change through their Active Inquiry homework.

The girls explored changes they've undergone since infancy, juxtaposing their personal evolution with the transformations in their parents' lives. Through thought-provoking questions centred around change, causation and perspective, the girls demonstrated their competency in critical thinking and concept-based inquiry. Their imaginative presentations, tailored to their individual preferences, provided insightful reflections on the nature of growth and development.

Year 6's engagement with the concept of change exemplifies their proficiency in essential skills such as Self-Regulation, Connection Finding and Generalisation. By reflecting on their own journeys and connecting them to broader contexts, students not only deepen their understanding of themselves but also develop invaluable skills for navigating the complexities of the world around them.
