A New Beginning
Welcome to Bedford Girls' School website. We would like to share with you our exciting project. We have been given the opportunity to take the best of two successful Harpur Trust schools, Dame Alice Harpur School and Bedford High School for Girls, and merge them into one, vibrant, new school.
We believe that Bedford Girls' School will be an exceptional girls' school - a school recognised by all as being forward thinking, dynamic and exciting. We believe that you will feel the energy and enthusiasm of the learning and teaching as soon as you walk through the front doors of our new school. We anticipate that you will overhear lessons peppered with laughter, that you will discover success of every kind being celebrated and a strong sense of 'can do' exuding from both the girls and the staff. Most importantly of all, we will shape an ethos of kindness, an environment where everyone is made to feel welcome, a school where all the pupils are made to feel special.
We hope this interim website gives you a taste of what Bedford Girls' School will be like, but so that you can really understand what we are trying to achieve we would like to encourage you to come to visit us. We would be proud to share our vision with you.
