This past week has seen our Junior and Senior netballer’s compete in various competitions.

On Saturday 28th January 2023, the U14 and the U19 netball squads travelled to the East Region England netball finals.

Both the U14s and U19s worked tirelessly throughout the day - especially the U19s who faced multiple injuries towards the end of the day and showed an incredible amount of resilience and adaptability!

The U14s gained a valuable understanding of a high performance tournament and improved throughout the day. It was such a great experience to play against the best of the East Region with the U14s finishing 8th and the U19s finishing 7th out of 12 in their age groups. View photos from the tournament here

On Thursday, the U11 IAPS team travelled to Uppingham School for a day filled with Bee Netball

The U11s finished top of their pool, not losing a game all morning and noticeably winning their first two games 13-0 and 11-2! They progressed to the cup quarter finals and after a very hotly contested game against Ratcliffe College, BGS won 4-2 progressing to the semi-finals. They settled their nerves and pulled off a convincing 8-2 win v Spratton Hall to progress to the final.

After a very competitive final, BGS placed 2nd overall earning a place at the National IAPS finals, which take place on Friday 17th March in Rugby.
