Year 9 Walk 12 Miles for Charity

On Sunday (6th November) Year 9 girls went on their annual Educate Girls walk to raise money and awareness for the charity.

The girls set off from BGS in high spirits, singing and laughing, as they walked alongside the River Great Ouse to the Danish Camp, where the hot chocolate machine had to be refilled.

The party carried on walking towards Sandy, but despite the beautiful sunshine in the morning, the clouds went black and the girls headed back to BGS in pouring rain with a bitterly cold wind.

Undeterred, the girls carried on singing and completed the 12-mile walk, thinking about the hardships many girls in India have to endure every time they set out to walk to school.
