I am incredibly proud to be the Headmistress of one of the region's largest independent girls’ schools.

We are experts in girls' education; a school where girls truly soar. With a heritage of over 140 years, we offer unrivalled expertise of understanding how girls learn and grow; every decision is made with girls at its heart.  

We know that girls achieve more in an all girls’ environment. We combine forward-looking education with a unique balance of outstanding academic achievement and exceptional pastoral care to ensure every student achieves her true potential.

We  nurture our students so they develop the attributes, intellect  and self-confidence to be  prepared to lead fulfilling lives beyond our doors. A unique combination of innovative teaching practices, exceptional co-curricular and sporting opportunities enable our girls to follow their passions and be inspired by their learning. They are ready to change the world around them.

We achieve outstanding examination results, but these are no longer enough to guarantee success; our students must be ready to build careers in industries that do not yet exist. We help them explore and refine individual pathways to success and see the endless possibilities that await them.  

Situated on the banks of the River Great Ouse in Bedford, we are perfectly located for students from Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
