Back in April, nine of our Junior School girls entered the Step into the NHS competition. Open to all Junior School pupils, a weekly club held in the Spring Term introduced pupils to over 350 roles in the NHS.
Our girls worked in pairs or individually to create a piece of work to enter into the competition. We entered canvases, posters and a video. Many of the girls worked on their entries over the Easter holidays, showcasing all of our school values of being bold, imaginative and reflective.
Recently we found out that Anna (5T), came 'highly commended' in the competition, narrowly missing out on becoming a regional winner. Anna interviewed a speech and language therapist for her entry, recording a video and editing this to engage her audience. Congratulations Anna!
A huge well done to everyone who took part in the club and entered the national competition. This was a great opportunity to learn about the many different roles within the NHS. The fantastic artwork created is on display in the Junior School.
