Last weekend, inspirational student, Alisha Halford (Year 9) participated in the Nuclear Mud Blast 6k obstacle course in Essex.

In aid of the RSPCA, and driven by her lifelong love of dogs, cats and all animals, Alisha climbed, zipped and waded her way around a challenging course featuring more than 17 obstacles, including climbs, zip lines, travelators and swamp sections. The event had a minimum age of 13+, making Alisha one of the youngest participants on the day. She completed the course within 90 minutes.

Alisha reflected: “I just want to say a massive thank you for the amount of money raised. It was an enormous amount of £340, which was achieved by all the amazing family/friends etc. I couldn’t do it without any of you.”

“That money is going to an amazing charity which will help many animals and make sure they get better and have an amazing home with people that can give them all the love they need. This is so very important because I think every animal should know what love feels like in their life.”

Miss Dawson (Head of Year 9) said: “I am immensely proud of Alisha’s determination, resilience and generosity. Completing such a challenging obstacle course, while raising funds for RSPCA, is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful example of putting her values into action.”

Alisha has raised an incredible £340. We are so proud of her for raising that amount while supporting a cause so close to her heart. Well done, Alisha.
