Junior School Trips and Excursions

On Tuesday 6th June, Year 6 visited Dearne Valley in South Yorkshire for an action packed four days, spending time over the 50 acres of vast grassland, woodland and wetland. The girls were able to partake in many exciting activities, designed to encourage environmental awareness, including living machine, nightline, laser, orienteering and bushcraft.

The girls rose to all the challenges set and demonstrated their learner attributes, working together and supporting each other throughout. Following the evening activities – campfire and disco, they all slept under canvas in purpose built adventure lodges. Although the weather was sometimes damp and windy, the girls showed their positivity and enthusiasm for learning outdoors.

Lottie Giles added: “It was so great, I can’t actually put it into words. I would need a whole essay to describe how great my experience was”.
