As part of the The Harpur Trust our bursaries are administered through their centralised assessment procedure and requires the completion of only one form, whichever of The Harpur Trust school(s) is/are being requested to consider an application for assistance. The information contained in this form will be available to the awards committee of each of the relevant schools. A provisional assessment will then be made for the consideration of the school awards committee(s).
The following information will be requested on the bursary application form:
- Family details: to assist in determining the family member responsible for the applicant’s welfare and education.
- Income details: income figures will be requested for the persons deemed responsible for the applicant’s welfare and education. Details of all financial resources available to the guardian of the child, including the income of any new spouse or other person helping to support the family, will also be required.
- Capital assets: estimates of the value of capital assets will be requested for the persons deemed responsible for the applicant’s welfare and education.
Making An Application
If you wish to be considered for financial assistance towards school fees, then please contact our Admissions Team on 01234 361918 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org for a bursary application form. You will need to register your daughter for assessment at the same time (there is a £100 fee payable for registration that is non-refundable). The bursary application form for the academic year 2015/2016 will be available from September 2014. Please contact the Admissions team at this time.
Bursary forms need to be returned to the Fees Manager at The Harpur Trust by Wednesday 17th December 2014 at the latest. Bursaries for the school year 2015/2016 can only be considered and allocated at this time.

If you have applied for a bursary and been successful, all details of the financial assistance available to you will be contained in the offer letter posted to your daughter on Wednesday 11th February 2015.
When you accept your bursary and place at Bedford Girls School you will need to pay a deposit of £500 which will be refunded when your daughter leaves the school.
