Offers and Acceptances

Junior and Senior School

Offers

We will post the results of the Assessment Day to you by first class post on Wednesday 11th February 2015. We regret we are unable to give results before then.

Acceptances

If an offer is made to your daughter we will enclose an Acceptance Form which, once signed by both parents and returned to the school with the Acceptance Fee, indicates that you have accepted the place and that you agree to the Terms and Conditions. This secures your daughter's place at the School. If any place is not accepted, or if the offer has not been accepted by the deadline given in the offer letter, the place will then be available to those on the waiting list or late entrants.

Acceptance Forms must be posted back to Bedford Girls' School by Wednesday 4th March 2015 at the latest, to secure your daughter’s place at the School.

A welcome package will be issued to girls joining the school detailing all uniform requirements, school bus information, medical information, lunch arrangements and much more!

Starting Bedford Girls' School

Once you have decided on and accepted the place for your daughter, we have a range of events to help assist in the smooth transition of your daughter from her current school to Bedford Girls' School. We like to keep in touch with you as much as possible so that you and your daughter soon feel part of our school community.

  • New Parents' Evenings are held in May (for the Senior School) and June (for the Junior School) to introduce your daughter to her new Form Tutor and classroom and for parents to meet other new parents in a social and welcoming format.
  • Induction Day will be held in July for girls joining Years 3 to 7. All new girls are invited into school to spend the day with their new classmates and Form Tutor. The day will follow an exciting timetable and will give girls both old and new to the School a chance to make friends before the summer holidays commence.

Sixth Form

IB and A Level Candidates

Following an interview and once we are in receipt of a satisfactory school report, reference and GCSE predictions, we will send you a conditional offer letter. This offer will be subject to you attaining the required GCSE grades.

Starting Sixth Form

In preparation for entering our Sixth Form, you will be invited to an induction day, usually held late in the Summer Term before your daughter commences with us in September.
