Junior School Teacher - Maternity Cover, Part-Time (0.5 FTE)

Bedford Girls’ School is a dynamic environment where innovation and creativity are nurtured, acclaimed and rewarded. The Junior School is a vibrant day school for girls aged 7 - 11 with a rich and diverse co-curricular programme. We are seeking an enthusiastic and outstanding primary class teacher to join our Junior School team to provide maternity cover from April 2015. Initially this will be to provide cover to a Year 5 class.

The successful candidate will be an excellent and creative practitioner who has the ability to engage with and inspire our modern 21st century girls.

HR Assistant 


Part Time - 25 hours per week, term time plus one week in the school holidays 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to provide effective HR support and administration to the School. A broad and busy role, the HR Assistant will be responsible for undertaking generalist HR administration including the full recruitment and selection process, monitoring performance management processes and producing HR metrics. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be highly organised with a strong attention to detail.

Bedford Girls’ School is a vibrant selective independent day school for girls aged 7 to 18 where excellent examination results are matched by a bold, holistic approach to learning. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and inspiring teacher to lead our Design Technology Department from September 2015. 

The successful candidate must be creative, enthusiastic, possess excellent communication skills and able to inspire bright talented girls. Through modelling good practice, the Head of Design Technology is expected to achieve high standards of teaching and learning whilst leading and inspiring the department. A wide co-curriculum is offered to which staff are expected to contribute.
