The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme Manager

An experienced and enthusiastic part time The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme Manager is required from January 2015 to organise and deliver all aspects of our directly licensed The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme from Bronze through to Gold.

The successful applicant will need to have a proven track record in planning and leading The Duke of Edinburgh's Award related activities including expeditions. Flexibility will be required as the role is seasonal with the summer period being busier than the winter. This will involve some evening work and most expeditions take place during school holidays or weekends. It is anticipated that the role will involve approximately 132 working days per annum including expeditions.

A recognised The Duke of Edinburgh's Award qualification to lead expeditions such as a Mountain Leader Qualification and First Aid certification is essential. You must have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude with the ability to motivate and train volunteers and students alike.

Admissions Manager (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a highly motivated and accomplished individual to provide a first class recruitment experience for prospective parents and pupils to ensure we attract high calibre candidates to the school. A diverse opportunity in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will have a background in sales with strong communication and customer service skills. You will need good organisational, administrative and database skills to ensure you can readily cover this demanding but rewarding role.

This maternity cover will start late March 2015, is for 30 hours (4 days) per week and will include the school holidays and some weekend and evening work.

Rowing Coach

We are looking to appoint a Rowing Coach who is able to support our rowing staff to motivate girls to take up rowing and inspire them to row at a high level. The successful candidate will have experience of coaching juniors and look forward to the challenge of building a rowing future for Bedford Girls’ School.
