Assistant Head  - Managing the Welfare of  the Pupils

The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom teacher with a proven track record of working with colleagues to maximise pupil progress and attainment whilst establishing effective relationships based on mutual respect.  As the Assistant Head responsible for pastoral support, mentoring and behaviour management via the pastoral team and Medical Centre, this post is also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for all Child Protection and Safeguarding aspects for the school.

The post would suit a graduate who is enthusiastic about their subject and motivated to encourage and inspire bright, talented girls. The successful candidate must be experienced in teaching A Level Psychology and be committed to achieving high standards of teaching and learning.  A wide programme of co-curricular activities is offered outside the classroom which staff are expected to contribute.

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and passionate Drama specialist to join our highly productive and thriving Drama Department. You will be required to teach a broad range of ages and levels from Year 7 through to GCSE, A Level Drama and Theatre Studies. Catering Assistant

£11,860 Actual Salary Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm (37.5 hours per week) term time plus one week in the school holidays.

Bedford Girls’ School is looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our professional, hardworking and friendly Catering team. The main duties will include receiving and storing deliveries, monitoring the quality of goods received, stock rotation, replenishing disposables, hospitality deliver/collect service, cleaning and washing activities. Candidates must either have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to undertake the qualification.
