Supporting Charities

Understanding the value of what we have encourages the school community to be reflective. It is in supporting local, national and international charities, both by fund raising and providing other support, that we become part of a connected community, enabling us to see our place in the world.

All girls support a local charity through their House. Each of the six houses supports a Bedfordshire charity each year, providing much needed fund raising as well as support in other areas, giving their time as well as money. As a school we also support national and international charity events throughout the year, carrying out various whole school activities to raise funds for well-known charities. As the school grows and develops we hope to broaden our links with international charities and work with schools in the developing world.

Our staff are no exception to the schools contribution to charity. There is a staff cycling group who each year take part in a high profile cycle ride to raise money for a national charity. This year 20 staff took part in the London to Brighton British Heart Foundation bike ride and raised over £4000 for this charity.
