When we started to discuss the values that would represent Bedford Girls’ School we asked ourselves what three to five words might capture the essence of our ambitions and underpin everything we do.
After widespread consultation with pupils, staff, parents, governors and alumnae we came to a very simple ethos.
We want our school community and the experience of those within it to be:
Bold
Imaginative
Reflective
As we embrace these values we hope they will encourage us to challenge ourselves, be prepared to take risks, think creatively and ultimately reflect upon the outcome of our actions and learn from them. And in time as these values become embedded in the heart of our school life they will drive us to achieve our vision and prepare our girls for their future.
